'Doctor Strange' 15 Minute IMAX Preview Review
I got the chance to see a special 15 minute IMAX preview of 'Doctor Strange' earlier tonight. HOLY SHIT! This movie looks insane! The visual effects in this movie are mind blowing. It's like 'Inception' took a heavy dose of steroids and mixed them with LSD.
I don't know how Marvel was able to create such remarkable visuals, but I'm saying right now that this film WILL win plenty of VFX Oscars come next awards season. On top of the aesthetics were great scenes with star Benedict Cumberbatch showcasing his Tony Stark-like demeanor and snarkiness being humbled by the new forces he's been introduced to.
It felt like the 'Doctor Strange' comics were ripped right off of the printed page and enhanced ten-fold. The bright colors and awe-inspiring shots of different dimensions and plains of existence left me chomping at the bit to see the whole film. This is by far the most different film we're getting in the MCU, but at the same time, it still maintains that lighthearted feel with funny moments and one-liners. My anticipation for this film was already very high, but after seeing this preview, they're through the roof.
