A Live-Action Pokemon Movie Is On The Way
Variety is reporting that Legendary Studios has won the bidding for the film rights to the 'Pokemon' franchise and has announced a live-action film is in development.
The film, currently titled "Detective Pikachu", is preparing for production beginning in 2017. Universal will distribute the film outside of Japan.
It's no surprise that a 'Pokemon' film would be announced, as the release of the 'Pokemon GO' mobile game has literally changed the world the past 2 weeks.
