Who is Sharon Stone Playing in the MCU?
Earlier this year, actress Sharon Stone confirmed that she has been cast in an upcoming Marvel film, but so far, no other details have been released about what character she will be playing or even what film she will be appearing in.
The only clue up until now about Stone's part was that her role will be a "wee part", inciting speculation that she could appear as Janet Van Dyne in the upcoming 'Ant-Man & The Wasp'.
However, in a new interview with AARP, Stone finally gave an update on her character. The article talks about Stone, Jane Fonda, and Alfre Woodward, saying:
“Woodard’s character is a villain in Marvel’s anticipated Netflix series Luke Cage; Stone has been cast as a superhero — she’ll only reveal that her secret power is heat — in a yet-to-be-named movie, also for Marvel.”
Heat powers wouldn't fit with Janet Van Dyne, so who could she be playing and where could she appear? 'Thor: Ragnarok', 'Doctor Strange' or 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' could all be potential landing spots, but we will have to wait until something more substantial is released.
