'Supergirl' Finds New Home at The CW
'Supergirl' has been renewed for a second season, but not at CBS. Variety has reported that the 'Girl of Steel' will make her way to The CW, joining other DC properties in 'Arrow', 'The Flash' and 'Legends of Tomorrow'.
Initially, 'Supergirl' grabbed a large number of viewers in its first season on CBS, but the ratings took a huge drop, then again spiked with the crossover episode featuring The Flash, but again tapered off. Melissa Benoist and the rest of the cast will make the move, as plans for crossovers with other CW shows are a likely possibility.
Show co-producer Ali Adler commented on the news, saying:
“Season 2 is going to be more reflective of their past and how they’re going to change their future as a result of it in a really emotional way. We definitely want to continue making more of this show.”
