'Godzilla 2' Loses Director
Gareth Edwards, director of 2014's 'Godzilla', has reportedly stepped away from the upcoming sequel, according to Deadline. The news comes just a few days after the release date of 'Godzilla 2' was pushed back from June of 2018 to March of 2019.
Edwards, who will be directing the upcoming 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story', stated that he wanted to try out some smaller projects after 'Rogue One'.
The search for a new director is now top priority for Legendary Studios, as they also plan on a crossover movie with King Kong.
