'Arrow' S04E21 Review
As Darhk's Genesis plan is coming to a head, the Rubicon program has begun arming NATO nuclear warheads to launch all over Earth. In order to try and disarm them, Felicity enlists the help of her father, The Calculator. Darhk is also after him, bringing back Brick.
Merlyn is revealed to be behind Thea's capture, telling her she's keeping her safe from Genesis.
Anarky returns t try and settle his score with Darhk, as he is also in with Thea and begins killing his thugs.
Due to Felicity's involvement with Team Arrow and her neglect of Palmer Tech, the board of directors fires her from her position. Her father tells her he needs tech to stop Genesis, and the team infiltrates the building in order to steal it.
As the warhead countdown ends, Felicity is given the impossible choice to save Star City from the blast of to give new coordinates at Havenbrook, which she ultimately chooses, killing tens of thousands instead of millions.
Oliver discovers the Nexus under Star City, which is under city hall, revealing why Darhk had Ruve run for mayor in the first place. In keeping tune with the flashbacks relating to Darhk's magic, Oliver finds Darhk in the Nexus chamber absorbing all of the souls of the recently deceased people killed in the blast, further increasing his power. With just 2 episodes left, Team Arrow will have an even tougher time defeating Darhk with his increased power.
This episode was a bit all over the place and uneven, switching to different characters and bringing back Anarky, The Calculator and Brick, and I felt a bit distracted.
My rating: 7 out of 10
