'Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' S03E20

On last night's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.', Coulson and May overhear a news broadcast talking about the events of 'Civil War' and the Sokovia Accords and Coulson comes across a newspaper clipping about the death of Peggy Carter. The news increases the need to defeat Hive ASAP.

Talbot brings word from President Ellis that he wants Coulson to register any enhanced agents with the government due to the Accords, as Coulson takes Talbot into the base under the bar they are meeting in.

Daisy hacks into S.H.I.E.L.D. CCTV to monitor what's going on as she is being drained of blood. Dr. Radcliffe gives Hive a jar of Daisy's blood that Hive plans to experiment on others with for testing.

The team is working on a plan to defeat Hive by getting to the human entities inside of his mind.

The Watch Dogs are prepping for war to exterminate the Inhuman threat.

Lincoln, still locked in his room, tries to reach out to Daisy as he believes her to be monitoring him. She sends him a message on the TV to confirm his suspicions.

During a tour of the base, Talbot meets some of the Inhumans to see their powers and goes into detail of the registration process during a conversation with Coulson and Lincoln. Lincoln agrees to register, while Coulson tries to stop it from happening. Coulson also takes Talbot to show him Lash, locked in a cell.

The Watch Dogs hunt down an Inhuman that turns out to be James. Hive shows up, revealing that he invited them there and that he wants them to become what they hate, intending to use them to experiment on.

Coulson, Fitz and Simmons show Talbot their intel on Hive and what his plan is, also telling him about the Kree.

Dr. Radcliffe exposes the Watch Dogs to his chemical to turn them into Inhumans, as they wait on results.

Daisy helps Lincoln escape.

Fitz figures out Daisy has been in the system and looping CCTV footage, the team arrives to his room to find him gone.

Radcliffe's experiment seems to have worked, but he seems remorseful at what he's done to the men.

Lincoln tries to flee on a QuinJet but is confronted by Mack. Lincoln then zaps Mack. Lincoln flies away in the Quinjet.

Seeing the results of the experiment, Hive orders Radcliffe to make more Inhumans.

Hive shows Daisy the new Inhumans and tells her he needs all of her blood to make more of them.

In a turn of events, it's revealed that Lincoln didn't stay in the QuinJet but sent it to meet Hive with Lash on board.

Lincoln had been secretly working with the team to deceive Daisy the whole time, as they were aware of her plans all along.

Lash battles Hive and the new Inhumans, as his purpose seems to be to defeat Hive. Daisy tries to stop him but is too weakened by blood loss. Lash is able to remove Hive's parasites that are controlling Daisy, freeing her from his control. Lash puts Daisy on the QunJet but is then implaed with a fiery chain by James, seemingly killing him. Daisy is able to escape back to the S.H.I.E.L.D. base. May is seen mourning Lash's death as she views his corpse.

Simmons runs tests on Daisy to make sure she is no longer under Hive's control and deems her cleared, but Coulson wants to keep her under observation, as she shows symptoms of withdrawal.

Learning of Hive's true plans form Daisy, Fitz and Simmons tell Coulson Hive plans to infect the Earth's population with the new pathogen created by Radcliffe by dispersing it in the atmosphere. Talbot tells them Hive stole a warhead at an ATCU base that he can use to create a shockwave with the pathogen.

This episode had a lot of tie-ins to 'Civil War' as we got to see the repercussions from the film play out. The incorporation of the Registration Act and Sokovia Accords was fun to see, vreating cohesion between the TV and film worlds. Daisy's vision of an agent dying in space seems to be coming to fruition with the threat of the pathogen being released over Earth. With only 2 episodes left this season, the stakes have been raised with the impending threat of Hive's plan to turn humanity into Inhumans.
