'Krypton' Pilot Ordered
According to a report from Variety, SyFy has ordered a pilot for their upcoming 'Krypton' series.
Per their article:
Set two generations before the destruction of Superman’s home planet, “Krypton” tells the story of the Man of Steel’s grandfather, who is fighting to restore his family’s honor following a public disgrace. David S. Goyer, the screenwriter of “Batman Begins,” “Man of Steel” and “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” will write the pilot with Ian Goldberg and serve as executive producer through his company Phantom Four. Fellow exec producer Damon Kandler will serve as showrunner.
“’Krypton’ is one of the most iconic stories in the comic book universe,” said Bill McGoldrick, executive vice oresident, scripted content, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment. “In the talented hands of David S. Goyer and the DC Entertainment/Warner Horizon Television team, this exciting Syfy project will take viewers back to Superman’s home to show how the timeless legend began.”
