Weekend Wrap Up 4/8/16-4/10/16

Hey everyone, welcome to my new segment 'Weekend Wrap Up', where I'll cover smaller news stories from weekend including box office numbers and projections.

Story #1 'Batman v Superman:Dawn of Justice' VS 'The Boss'

With heavy critic panning and poor word of mouth, BvS lost the top spot at the box office this weekend to Melissa McCarthy's 'The Boss'. Estimates from BoxOfficeMojo.com report 'The Boss' had the slight edge, making $25,000 more. This should be very concerning news for DC/WB execs, as a movie with both Batman and Superman should be clearing house until next month's release of 'Captain America: Civil War'.

Story #2 'Captain America: Civil War' screened for critics

Film critics were treated to a 3-week early screening of 'Civil War' and the reactions have set the internet on fire. Overwhelmingly positive comments on the film are leaving us regular fans chomping at the bit to see this movie.

Story #3 'MTV Movie Awards' to show clips from upcoming movies

The MTV Movie Awards airs later tonight and is set to show exclusive clips from various movies including 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them', 'Suicide Squad', and 'Captain America: Civil War'.

Story #4 'Hardcore Henry' opens to weak numbers

1st person action movie 'Hardcore Henry' opened this weekend to an estimated $5.1 million. While I'm intrigued by this movie, I'm not sure if I would go to the theatre to see it or wait for the VOD release.

Story #5 Weekend Box Office

Filled with some surprises, the weekend box office saw 'The Boss' come in at #1, 'Bvs' at #2, 'Zootopia' still chugging along at #3, 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2' at #4 and 'Hardcore Henry' at #5.

Let me know what stories stuck out most to YOU and what movie YOU are most looking forward to.
