'Cloak and Dagger' Series Gets Greenlight
Lesser-known Marvel superheroes 'Cloak and Dagger' will be coming to the small screen sometime in the future on the Freeform network (formerly ABC Family). It is unclear as to when the series will start or who is even writing it. This will be Marvel's fourth television series (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Agent Carter the upcoming Marvel's Most Wanted) as well as the 3 seasons of Netflix shows in Daredevil and Jessica Jones. It's also unclear if the show will be set in the current MCU, but judging how all Marvel/Disney properties are, it can be assumed that this one will too.
Teen heroes Tyrone Johnson (Cloak) and Tandy Bowen (Dagger) are runaways from New York that eventually meet up to form their partnership. They fought alongside many Marvel heroes in the past, including Spider-Man, the X-Men and others in the comics. The series is said to have romantic tones, and seeing that it will be on Freeform, I hope that the show isn't made for 14-year-old girls.
As more information becomes available I will keep you updated.
